Our next stop in Laos was the charming and chilled city of Luang Prabang. The main thing to do here is literally just to wander around and sit in cafes all day.
We’ve just spent four days sitting on the back of a motorbike, as we have been driven around the Ha Giang Loop, a famous motorbike loop in the northern mountains of Vietnam.
Our final(ish) stop in Vietnam is Hanoi, where we had a brief explore of the city (again I have been here before), before our next big adventure begins.
A first time trip to Hoi An for Dylan, the second time for me. I’ve returned here as I liked it so much the first time, but also to see my friend Sarah and her boyfriend James, who are here on their holidays.
It’s Dylan’s first time in Vietnam, for me it’s my second time. I came here 9 years ago and have returned to fill in some gaps. The first gap to fill is the mountain city of Da Lat.
After leaving New Zealand, I went back to Australia for the third time for three reasons: to see me friend Maddie, my friend Alex, and to catch a flight to the Philippines.
Following a series events, which the next few blog posts get into, Dylan is back on his travels for a short period. Therefore, it made sense to resurrect the blog.
It feels like we’ve gone full circle. We started this trip in a relaxing way, lying on the beaches of Fiji while throwing in some snorkelling now and again. We’re ending this trip in the same way, chilling by the sea, with a snorkelling trip to a big blue hole.
