A different kind of Christmas

I hope you had a great Christmas. Mine was very different, but great all the same, as we went kayaking to the Marble Caves.

Before the big day, we headed from Coyhaique to our campsite in Rio Tranquilo, where we would spend Christmas.

The views of Patagonia were incredible as we headed along gravel roads to the remote town.

Once we arrived at camp, we got the celebrations started as we played some games on Christmas Eve.

It was an early start on the big day as we headed out to kayak to the Marble Caves at 6am. You can kayak through these natural caves, which was a very enjoyable way to spend Christmas morning.

Once we were back in camp, we had a BBQ for our Christmas dinner then continued to play games for the rest of the evening.

There were a few sore heads on Boxing Day as we had another early start to head to the Argentinian border.

Again, we had some spectacular views before we arrived at the border.

Our first stint in Chile is now over, and what an absolutely beautiful country it is. I can’t wait to come back in the new year, but we now spend the rest of 2023 in Argentina.
