Normal service has resumed
After a short but very busy trip home, it’s time to get back on the road!
I’m absolutely exhausted from my two weeks at home. I had a wedding, a 60th birthday and countless reunions. Sorry if I didn’t see you while I was home, there just wasn’t enough time!
Before we go to Toronto in Canada, we have a three night stop in Dublin, which I intend to use to chill and of course drink a Guinness.
Fortunately my flight hasn’t been cancelled like the countless others. We’ve got a bit of a delay but nothing major.
Conveniently, I am flying out of Manchester airport, so I’ve not had to travel far to the airport. I haven’t been here in years, and it’s definitely an airport that’s falling apart. I think they need to build a new one.
Going home was also a great opportunity to ditch stuff that I’m carrying but I want to keep, so the rucksack is feeling as light as ever. I now meet the 20kg allowance without having to shuffle anything around. Even my hand luggage only has a water bottle and headphones in it! Long may the light load continue.
The next month and a bit is all now planned out. Everything for Canada has been booked, including a rental car, how snazzy.
We leave Canada on the 1st October, flying to San Francisco!
