Dylan Does Dublin

Having been to Dublin before, it’s not been the most exciting visit for me, but Dylan had a fantastic time.

The main thing I wanted to do here was to go to the Guinness factory, something I missed last time as we went to the Jameson distillery instead. It reminded me of the Heineken factory in Amsterdam, in that there’s not really much in the way of history, it’s mainly gimmicks which make things entertaining.

I did get to have a refreshing pint of Guinness with some great views over Dublin.

After that, we just did some wandering around Dublin. I was surprised how little I remember of the place. We also watched some live music in the very busy Temple Bar. I swear I’m getting less tolerant of crowds of people!

It turned out that the hostel I was staying in was the exact same one I stayed in 7 years ago, again not that I really recognised any of it. It had a very varied crowd of people, from older couples to masses of school children from Europe.

Now it’s time for things to really get going, as we fly out to Toronto!
