Beers in Bavaria

We’ve been in Munich and the surrounding area for the last five days, including the Bavarian Alps.

The first few days we spent in Munich, exploring the many sights. Fortunately, one of the main things to do in Munich is to go to a beer hall, and obviously drink beer, which I of course did on several occasions. 

Otherwise, we explored palaces, parks and the BMW museum. It was rather gloomy and cold in Munich, a stark change to what we have been used to recently. 

For the last day, we took a trip out into the alps for a short hike. This was only about an hour out of Munich and it was good to see the small Bavarian towns. 

Next up we have a non travelling stop in Utrecht, Netherlands for a few days while I visit a friend. Then it’s onto the final stop of the first phase of our travels, Rotterdam.
