What’s next?

Our first trip to Australia is now over and I’ve spent the last couple of days booking a silly number of flights to get us to our trip back to the UK in August.

There’s not that much to do in Darwin so it’s been the perfect opportunity to get some planning done. While mainly catching up on sleep, we did get out for some exploring though, so here’s a picture of Dylan enjoying himself in the sunshine.

As we move into Asia, apart from having your flights booked for in and out of countries, you don’t really need to plan much else and can just wing it as you go. Hopefully this will give us a lot more freedom to just go wherever the wind takes us.

First up we head to Indonesia for 3 weeks. Kicking off in Bali, the intention is to explore a few of the islands. I’m going to try and avoid beaches as much as possible (I’m so beached out) and head inland to climb some mountains, or volcanoes in Indonesia’s case.

Then a quick few days in Singapore. Being a small but expensive country, we don’t need any longer than that.

After that we had to Malaysia for about two weeks which takes us to the end of June.

Then we return to Australia to drive the west coast. You can read more about that in the previous post. This takes us to late July where we then head to Turkey for a wedding.

I’ve got a week before everyone else arrives for the wedding in Turkey, so I’ll likely explore Istanbul and Cappadocia before heading to Bodrum where the wedding is.

After this I’ve got a couple of weeks until I need to back in the UK, so I’ll be doing a quick stop in Germany, specifically Munich, then getting the train over to Utrecht and Amsterdam in the Netherlands to see a friend over there.

I’ll fly back into Manchester on 16th August to head home to Prestatyn for a few days, then to London the week after for a wedding and a festival. Then back to Prestatyn via Bristol.

On the 29th August we will fly out of the UK to somewhere new. Likely back into Asia but I’ll book this another day.

You can see the updated plans on the Where are we going? page.
