Abel Tasman Coastal Track
After hitting the South Island, it was time to have a go at a section of another one of the New Zealand’s Great Walks.
We’re based in the city of Nelson for the next few days. Not much going here but it is the gateway to the Abel Tasman national park.
Most of the park is only accessible by boat, so that meant yet another ride on a ferry to the drop off point, and then a long hike to the pick up point.
The park is incredibly peaceful and is largely untouched, which meant a relatively relaxing hike across some of the park.
There’s another day to explore Nelson today, but sadly not too much going on due to the effects of the cyclone that’s currently passing.
